Impressions:

  • Severe loss of alveolar bone in the edentulous areas of the maxilla and mandible
  • Multiple hyperdensities are visualized in the L tonsillar region – consistent with the finding of tonsillar calcifications
  • Hyperdensity in the missing #11 region – consistent with the finding of a retained root fragment
  • In the R posterior mandible, small loose hyperdense particles are visualized at the level of the alveolar crest – differential includes:
    • Loose osseous fragments
    • Foreign material
    • Clinical correlation is recommended
  • Airway is patent
