Tooth Resorption: Case Study

Periodontist Note after Root Canal Treatment

That you for referring [patient] to our office. Root canal treatment has been completed on tooth #25 on 2/7/2022.

1 canal was obturated with gutta-percha using NeoSealer Flo (an MTA bioceramic) and the prognosis is favorable.

The resorptive defect was visible with the dental microscope and the defect was sealed with a bioceramic sealer (visible on the angled radiograph at the mid-root level). The access has been restored with a composite buildup for the best long-term prognosis.

He may return to your office for the Maryland Bridge at his convenience. [Patient] tolerated the procedure well, has been placed on a 1-year recall, and has been instructed to return to your office for comprehensive care.

It was a pleasure to see [patient], and again, thank you for your trust and confidence. Please do not hesitate at all to contact me if you have questions, comments, or concerns.

Respectfully Yours,

Dr. Wash
