Crest + Oral-B + Kids: Together We Can Conquer Cavities

By: Dr. David Rice

Jim Rohn once said.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Do you believe that? I do. Come to think of it, my mom and dad did too.

I’m guessing it’s why they encouraged me to hang around the good kids and steer clear of the bad kids in school. The whole birds of a feather flock together thing. Funny how we learn many of life’s greatest lessons by the age of five and then forget them.

So what does that mean, for you, as a dentist, a hygienist, a dental assistant?

Does it change the way you look at the world, your colleagues, your friends, and your family?

Who do you want to be? How do you want people to think of you? What do you want them to say about you?

Maybe it’s an age or an experience thing, but I’ll tell you, I know now, I know who I want to be.

I know how I want people to see me, I know what I want to stand for, and you know what? I know who I need to spend the most time with too!

Crest + Oral-B: Together We Can Conquer Cavities

Not that long ago, Crest + Oral-B launched and lived by Together, We Can Conquer Cavities.

On the surface, it’s all about great dental pros uniting to create good oral care habits from an early age for our patients.

Deeper than that, and why my Crest + Oral-B friends are in my five, it’s about building a future in our communities.

Imagine who they want to be, for us, and patients all over the world.

conquer cavities

Imagine in THE MOST FINANCIALLY DIFFICULT TIME, a time when so many went quiet, imagine in that time, choosing to build, committing to create, and deciding to give away 1,200 electric toothbrushes, 400 to 3 winning offices (CLICK HERE to check them out here and show them some love!)

Think about that! Think about the type of people, who wake up and say to themselves,

Today I choose better. Today I choose selfless, kindness. Today, when no one wants to give, and everyone is afraid…today I choose to help 3 dental practices serve their underserved kids.

And then think about this. So many dentists, so many hygienists, so many of us nominated our colleagues and friends, that Crest + Oral-B couldn’t stop there.

They decided to award 350 additional offices, 12 brushes each so they too, could serve the underserved.

There’s a word for that:

Integrity.

You and I truly are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. So, how’s life going for you? Are you who you want to be? Who’s in your five? Whose five are you in.

Today, it’s your turn to change the world…..
