Bony Defect: Case Study

The Final Plan for the Patient with Bony Defect

Orthodontics was performed over a period of 24 months to create a better alignment and spatial arrangement.

OMFS felt that grafting and implant placement was too unpredictable given the sized and nature of the defect.

Upon removal of the current appliance, #9 exhibited CIIII mobility and would not be a suitable abutment for a bridge.

It was determined that a Fixed Partial Denture was the best treatment from 8-11. In order to account for the defect, pink porcelain would be added to the FPD.
